The Mission of Hummingbird Home Care is to bring hospitality to home care, support personal independence, enhance quality of life and provide peace of mind to the elderly citizens of Maine and their families who seek around the clock personal care and companionship with staff who provide warmth, safety and competence.

We define hospitality as the genuine desire to make someone feel welcome, comfortable and to share our "table" with them, a generous and giving nature, being good company and the ability to efficiently meet and anticipate the needs of our clients and coworkers.

Harmony requires compassion which leaves no room for gossip. We will communicate directly with any individual we have a concern with. If any person we speak with is not part of the problem or the solution, we will direct the conversation to whom the subject involves.
